One of our favourite gardens

At The Garden Company, we have taken on many different styles of projects over the years. Our Wheelers Hill project, which is an award winning garden would probably have to be one of our favorites of all time. The clients had purchased around half an acre of additional land next door which was at the bottom end of their property and they decided they wanted to landscape the whole space.

The landscape consists of a huge tiled pond, an outdoor cabana, a long boardwalk joining the areas together, which is enclosed with a steel arbor and Boston Ivy to soften the heaviness of the steel and to create a divide between the gardens.

There is a large lawn area which gives a beautiful viewing point of the garden in all directions and plenty of relaxing areas to sit back with friends and family and enjoy the garden. The handmade terracotta footpaths give a rustic charm that leads you on a tour from the lawn, through to the lush native garden.

There was a lot of strategic planning that went into the plant choice for this garden, due to the size of the landscape and the various plantings of native and exotic, it was imperative that everything worked together. The final thing this garden needed was some artwork. We engaged Lump sculpture studio who made the beautiful pieces for this garden and the clients could not have been happier with the end result. www.lump.com.au
